Module 14: How to Start Using Rise-X
Introduction to Rise-X Onboarding 🌅
Rise-X streamlines collaboration both for your organisation and for parties in other organisations. This module covers onboarding users, managing permissions, and effectively adopting Rise-X within your ecosystem, including inviting editors and collaborators and exporting data for reporting and analysis.
Collaborator Onboarding ✉️
- No-onboard onboarding.
- Rise-X is designed in a way that no onboarding is required to start using the platform.
- As a user progresses each work item, they complete the task that is assigned to them and then when they submit that task, they are prompted to enter the email of the user that should complete the next task.
- This user is then emailed, and without even needing to sign up to Rise-X they can contribute to the work item and then when they submit that task they are prompted to enter the email of the next user and so on.
- Guest users are identified by the email that the invitation was sent to so that on the work item it shows that this email has contributed to the work and if in the future that person signs up to Rise-X they will still have access to the work items that they contributed to as a guest.
- Inviting all members in a company to be able to start new work items.
- Navigate to Settings > Ecosystem > Plans.
- Enter the email of someone in the company (e.g. johnsmith@companyone.com).
- This invited all users in the Company One company to be able to start new work items in all workflows in the ecosystem.
- Companies by default are defined by the email domain so all users with the @companyone.com domain would gain this access.
- You can also ue Advanced Plans to restrict access to specific workflows/assets/dashboards.
- Advanced Plans are currently only available by contacting the Rise-X team which you can do by either booking a meeting using this link https://outlook.office365.com/book/RiseXConsult@rise-x.io/ or by sending an email to info@rise-x.io
Editor Onboarding 🛠️
- Give others Ecosystem Orchestrator to let them create new and edit all existing workflows and asset types via Settings > Ecosystem > Orchestrators.
- Assign specific editing permissions like Workflow Owner or Asset Editor via the ellipsis menu on individual workflows, work items, asset types, assets, or dashboards.
Exporting Data 📈
Steps to Export Data:
- Navigate to the Performance Tab and open a dashboard or the Data Explorer.
- Apply filters to refine the data you want to export.
- Click the Export button in the top-right corner.
- Choose:
- Included Properties: Export the current view or specific fields.
- Format: CSV or Excel.
- Click Export to download the file.
Key Takeaways 🔑
- Let onboarding manage itself, invite companies to start new work items, or easily assign specific editing or collaboration roles.
- Export data easily.
