Product Updates - 13th June 2024
In this Rise-X EOP release, we are introducing a range of feature updates. These include enhancing the user interface to better portray multiple editors in active work items, expanding the capabilities for Custom Dashboards to support features such as Expanded Properties and customising column visibility and order. Also, editor badges are now available in dashboards and in collaborating companies section for improved visibility. Numerous bug fixes have also been addressed to enhance overall platform performance and stability.
đȘÂ Feature Updates
Display of editors for active tasks
We have enhanced the way editors of a pending tasks are displayed. Now, you can see the avatars of all pending users at the top right of an active tasks, and hovering over these avatars will reveal the usersâ email in a tooltip.
This update aims to provide a more intuitive way to identify users, allowing all collaborative members of a work item to quickly see who is responsible for the active task. (14324)
Additional capabilities in Custom Dashboard
We have dedicated efforts to enhancing the capabilities of the Custom Dashboard feature. Key improvements include:
- Column settings in grids: Columns in a customised dashboard can now be managed, whereby users with varying permission levels can either customise the settings privately, or apply changes that will affect all users with access to the dashboard. (14246, 14242, 14247)
- For dashboard Owners:
- When you change the column visibility or order, these changes can be saved for all users by clicking the âUpdate Dashboardâ button.
- For dashboard Viewers:
- Users with View access to dashboards can rearrange and control the visibility of columns, which will only affect their own view.
- Visibility of dashboard editors: Users who created the dashboard will appear as editors in the share panel, enhancing clarity and transparency by clearly identifying who has editing rights for the dashboards. (14288)
- Supporting Expanded Properties in custom dashboards: We have upgraded the custom dashboards to allow for the enabling of the âExpanded Propertiesâ feature, which was previously limited to only coded workflows or dashboards. Now, if the Ecosystem has this feature enabled, you will see an âEnable Expanded Propertiesâ option available directly in the dashboard creation panel, allowing you to activate this functionality for your customised dashboard. â Tip: If the dashboard has not been updated to the latest setting, click on the âResetâ button to restore the saved column order and visibility.
đ Note: The âExpanded Propertiesâ feature allows tabular data within an individual work item to be displayed in a dashboard view. Each work item row will be expanded to display all rows from the table inside the work.
Flow actions enhancements
We have relocated the location in configurable actions are stored, allowing for more tailored enablement and display of actions that can be triggered, based on user permissions. This update will also provide more flexibilities for future implementations and customisations of actions, as well as ensuring they are relevant and accessible according to user roles. Company Owner Badges
We are introducing Company Badges, represented by an âOwnerâ pill, which will be displayed next to the Company within the âCollaborating Companiesâ section within a work item.
These badges will provide better transparency, clarity, and understanding of the ownership responsibilities and permissions associated with the Companies and any Workflow Owners collaborating in a single work item. (14330, 14362, 14328, 14331)
Attachment grid improvements
Several improvements have been implemented to attachments to improve usability making it easier to manage and interact with attachments. (14319, 14318, 14243, 14321) These include:
- Bringing the print toggle into the attachment preview for added convenience.
- Enhancing the functionality to save a sorted list of documents within an attachment folder efficiently.
- Fixing an issue to ensure that the sorting can be applied reliably and accurately when documents are added, deleted or edited.
Wildcard search for Assets
We have added an additional capability in the Asset Search component to enable wildcard searches within a specified Asset Type. This broadens the capabilities of the Asset Search component, to offer greater flexibilities in querying from assets within an asset type. Furthermore, the list of options, represented as assets, can also be customised and managed effortlessly within the specific asset type. (14325)
Second precision in date component
The date component format now supports specifying seconds, enabling the capture of time-sensitive data points. (14287)
đ Bug Fixes
Validation issues in table
We have successfully resolved an issue where inaccurate and unnecessary validations were triggered for cells in newly created rows, within a table. (14381)
Formatting of numbers in Work Cards
A bug causing a four-digit number entered in a work item to render as a date format, on a work card has been fixed. (14309)
Reporting bug fixes
We have fixed several UI issues with metric cards in dashboards, which involves: (14294, 14295, 14296)
- Formatting of aggregated quantities - Numbers in tooltips now includes commas as thousands separators, matching the formatting used for other data displayed in the report.
- Colours in charts: The colours used in charts across the platform have been updated to avoid repetition and improve the colour hues in both light and dark modes. Each variable will now represented by a unique colour to ensures that it will be easier for users to interpret and visualise the data in the report.
- NaN calculations: We have resolved a data structure issue to ensure accurate metric calculations on dashboards, eliminating the display of NaN values.
Editing Rich-Text component
A bug where the Done button fails to be activated after a user edits a rich-text component has been resolved successfully. (14285)
Adjusting column widths in Workflow Builder
We have resolved an issue to ensure that column widths for the table component in the Workflow Builder can now be adjusted as required. (16683)
SignalR drop out issue
We have addressed a bug where users experienced SignalR drop outs and were prompted to sign back in whilst using the platform. (14342)
Fix publish data to asset activity
We have resolved a bug to guarantee that data publication to assets can be triggered reliably in all circumstances. (14274)
Permissions on editing duplicated workflows
Issues relating to multiple Workflow Owners editing duplicated draft workflow have been fixed to ensure that users do not face unexpected error messages. (14208)
Editing imported assets
Users with the appropriate permissions can now edit imported assets at all times. (14197)
OIDC redirect failure
We have addressed a bug to ensure that user is redirected to the correct landing page after clicking the registration link. (14213)
