Product Updates - 3rd July, 2025 (v3.53)
This release includes improvements to filtering, data entry, and team views—along with a range of fixes for smoother workflow editing, better visual clarity, and more consistent behaviour across views. From faster performance in the Advanced Editor to more accurate Kanban boards and cleaner data updates, the platform is now more reliable and efficient across the board.
🪄 Feature Updates
Improvements to filtering and sorting
We’ve rebuilt the filtering and sorting system to make it simpler, faster, and more reliable behind the scenes. This upgrade improves how filters and sorting works across the platform, ensuring that results load more accurately and consistently when you work with text, numbers, or date ranges. If you apply more than one filter at the same time—like looking for something that’s marked as “Pending” and has a certain priority—you’ll get more dependable results.
These updates also mean the system handles things better when no results are found, and you won’t see confusing errors if no results are returned. (23731)
RFID scanning now opens the right work item
Inspectors using RFID scanners can now instantly open the correct inspection sheet when scanning a tag. The system matches the scanned RFID number with the right work item and opens it automatically, saving time and avoiding manual searches. All scan activity is recorded, and workflows can be configured to support this scanning behaviour. (23994)
Rearrange table columns and ‘save for everyone’
You can now drag and drop to reorder columns in your table view, toggle their visibility, and even apply those settings for your entire team if you’re a workflow owner.
This makes it simple to tidy up your workspace, highlight what matters most, and ensure consistency across team members.
The improved Manage Columns panel includes:
- Drag and drop reordering, with real-time updates to your table
- Search and visibility toggles for faster navigation
- Options to hide empty columns, wrap content, and reset to default
- A ‘Save for everyone’ button (for workflow owners only) to lock in a shared view for the whole team
All personal preferences still take priority, and resets only affect your own view—so you can customise confidently.
Column order changes also sync directly with the Advanced Editor for consistency. (24446)
Consistent decimal formatting in aggregated reports
All decimal values in aggregated reports now display with exactly two decimal places, for example, 47 now appears as 47.00. This change applies to average pill values, chart bar labels, and tooltip values across all charts, ensuring a clean and consistent presentation of numerical data. (25519)
🐞 Bug Fixes
Faster workflow editing in Advanced Editor
The Advanced Editor is now much faster, even on workflows with multiple steps and tasks. We’ve reduced the lag by streamlining how data loads and updates behind the scenes, making it easier to edit without slowdowns. (24898)
Future dates restored in date pickers
You can now select future dates in date pickers again. A recent change had unintentionally blocked future dates, but this has been fixed. Future dates are now allowed by default unless restricted by specific configuration. (20549)
No more errors for duplicate names on conditional components
Workflows can now be published even when conditional components have the same name. Where this previously caused an error where workflows would fail to publish, the platform now handles this correctly. (22904)
Smoother workflow switching in Advanced Editor
You’ll no longer see a “Node with ID not found” message when switching between workflows in the Advanced Editor. The editor now resets properly between sessions, so it won’t try to reopen a location from a previous workflow. (20479)
Asset auto-population now works without errors
Fields in an asset can now auto-populate from related assets as expected—like a Country field pulling the correct value from a selected City—without causing update errors or missing data in tables.
Previously, using advanced configurations for auto-population could trigger “Failed to update” errors and leave key fields blank in table views. Auto-filled values now display correctly across all views, including asset panels, kanban cards, and tables. (25025)
Better contrast on buttons
Some buttons were using dark text on dark backgrounds when certain ecosystem colors were applied, making them hard to read. Button text now automatically adjusts to maintain proper contrast and visibility. (25230)
No more double exclamations in workflow editing warning
When a workflow was opened by multiple users, the warning dialog incorrectly showed two exclamation icons. It now displays just one, as intended. (25315)
Kanban cards no longer show in multiple steps
We fixed a problem where some work items would show up in more than one step at the same time on Kanban boards, especially when using “Send Back” actions in workflows. Even after refreshing the page, the cards stayed in the wrong place.
Now, each card appears only once, and always in the correct step, so your board stays clean and accurate. (25460)
“Start work” error fixed for slow-loading boards
We fixed an issue where clicking Start Work before the Kanban board fully loaded caused an error saying “Start work failed - s is undefined.”
You can now start work right away, even if the board hasn’t fully loaded yet. (25466)
Linked project comments now editable in Reporting Period
Users can now edit linked project comments directly from the Reporting Period view. Previously, these comments were shown but locked. The system now correctly recognises these as work-related components, restoring editing access as expected. (25502)
Column header tooltips now dismiss correctly
In tables, tooltips for column headers weren’t always disappearing after you moved your cursor away, sometimes lingering and obscuring data underneath.
Tooltips are now dismissed as expected once you stop hovering over a column header. (25523)
"Created by" column now shows user names correctly
After updating an asset, the “created by” column in the table view was briefly showing user IDs instead of user names. You had to reload the page to see the proper name again. Now, user names remain visible after edits without needing a refresh. (25536)
Default date no longer pre-selected in filters
When opening a date filter, the system was automatically selecting the 1st of the previous month, which could be confusing or misleading.
Now, no date is selected by default, and the calendar simply opens to the current month, giving you a clean, neutral starting point for filtering. (25548)
Asset fields no longer flash old values on update
When editing an asset, updated fields and comments briefly showed the old value before refreshing with the new one. This flicker has been fixed, and values now update smoothly without reverting momentarily. (25561)
Email buttons in share notifications now use correct links
The “Open” and “View” buttons in emails sent when sharing work or assets was leading to an invalid link, with no response when clicked. These buttons now correctly include the full environment URL, so recipients can open shared items without issues. (25626)
Stay in context after publishing workflows or assets
After publishing a workflow or asset, the platform now takes you back to the same view you were working in, whether that’s Kanban or Table, instead of sending you to the main Work or Asset page. This keeps your context intact and saves you from having to search for what you were just editing. (25709)
