Product Updates - 6th May 2024
In this latest release, we are thrilled to introduce several noteworthy enhancements, including expanding the options to customise Banner colours, improvements to the representation of disabled components, and refined designs for fields within collapsible sections. Additionally, this release includes bug fixes to allow co-editing of Assets and ensuring the reliable resetting of One Time Passwords and many more!
🪄 Feature Updates
Customise Banner colours
We have further improved the Banner component to offer the flexibility to tailor background colours, and refined its visual appeal by removing borders around configurable emojis, resulting in a more polished aesthetic. This update enables configurations to select colours based on various purposes such as the yellow for warnings and green for success etc. This aims to heighten visual clarity, ensuring that important messages stand out effectively, enhancing user comprehension. Improvements for disabled components
Components in read-only modes have been revised and improved to provide a clearer and more intuitive user experience, ensuring users can easily identify and interact with editable elements. (13705)
These improvements include:
- Increased contrast for both border and text between editable and read-only fields.
- Hiding the red asterisk for mandatory fields when in read-only state.
- Introducing a disabled cursor when hovering over read-only fields.
Design updates for collapsible sections
Fields within collapsible sections have been realigned to create more space on the left, enhancing visual representation of fields within these sections. These adjustments ensures improved readability and overall clarity and usability, particularly for longer sections with multiple components. Additionally, it also aims to provide a clearer separation of where each section ends. (13705)
Side-panel improvements
The side panel has been further refined to ensure that when user navigates in and out of a workflow that has the side panel enabled, or refreshes the page, the last state is saved. This allows users to seamlessly resume their work from where they left off, reducing the number of clicks required to navigate back to the work item and continue their tasks. (13619)
We have also resolved a bug that has caused the overlay panel displaying Asset details when clicking on an Asset pill within a field, to render incorrectly. (13601)
Advanced Validation Rules
We have expanded the capabilities of the validations to allow for more customised rules and logics that does not necessarily depend on an existing field in the user interface. This offers a comprehensive solution suitable for a wider range of scenarios, enforcing data accuracy on the platform. (13723)
Asset Share Company Endpoint
A new endpoint has been implemented to enable the Support team to share an Ecosystem Asset with a Company. This functionality will grant all users access within the Company to the Asset, eliminating the need for individual explicit sharing. This will also reduce the dependencies on developers to execute a script to update the permissions. (13512)
Configurable Activity improvements:
- Invite Party to Work Activity: The functionality for assigning users to a work item has been improved to provide increased flexibility to cater for more use cases. Users can now be configured to be invited as Editors to a work item, expanding beyond the previous limitation of being invited as Viewers only. (13686)
- Search Entity Data Activity: The ability to search, filter, and add default data to a work item based on a selected Asset has been enhanced to allow for filtering by more than one criteria. This enhancement will ensure greater accuracy by accomodating multiple filtering criteria, catering to a wider range of business cases. (13685)
- Duplicate Work Activity: We have revised and updated the duplicate work feature to ensure that all activities configured for the original work item are triggered in the duplicated work item as well. (13687)
Upgrade Mongo Driver
We have upgraded the MongoDB Driver to improve stability and compatibility. (13322)
🐞 Bug Fixes
Share Asset Link
We have fixed a bug to ensure that the correct link with the appropriate access token is embedded in the action button in the email notification sent to users invited to the Asset. (13658)
Locked Steps
An issue regarding the reliability of locked steps has been addressed to ensure only users configured to have access to a step can view it. (12929)
Fixes for editing Assets
- Co-editing: We have successfully resolved a bug where a new user invited to an Asset could not edit the Asset alongside other editors. (13695)
- Submit button: We have implemented a fix for submit buttons within Assets to ensure they are greyed out while the UI is still processing the data saving operations. This prevents users from clicking the submit button prematurely. (13646)
OTP reset fixes for conditional activities
We have addressed various issues within out One-Time Password (OTP) reset functionality, such as resolving duplicated emails being sent when a user requests a new OTP. We have also implemented measures to ensure the reliability of the newly generated OTPs. (13633)
Console Errors for Search Entity Data Activity
We have resolved an issue to prevent premature triggering of error due to the Search Entity Data Activity. This occurred when the function attempts to trigger before user inputs information, when the activity is intended to only trigger only after the user has provided details. (13689)
Enforcing validations for fields with default values
We have successfully resolved a bug that caused the validations to not be triggered for a field that has a default value. (13698)
Inconsistencies in status colour update
A bug where the status colour of a work item remains the default grey when it should be updated to the configured colour when a task is submitted has been fixed. (16215)
Component width
We have fixed a bug to ensure the width of a field displays as col-12 instead of the configured col-6, to guarantee users can view content on the platform consistently and accurately. (13622)
Deleting attachments files
A fix has been implemented for a bug which caused files to display in the attachment component when multiple files were selected to be deleted at the same time. (13712, 13722)
Ecosystem plan invitation validation
An issue has been fixed to ensure that the validation is triggered before user clicks on the invite field when attempting to invite a user who has already been invited to the Ecosystem plan explicitly, enhancing user experience and redundant invitations. (13577)
Register banner link
The issue where the link on the register banner redirected users to the Rise-X EOP website instead of the intended landing page to start the registration process has been resolved. (13528)
Favicon for open file page
We have addressed an issue to ensure that the logo configured for an Ecosystem displays the accurate favicon when a file is opened in a new tab, when viewing an attachment. (13597)
