Product Updates - 25th March 2026 (v3.69)

This release delivers a major overhaul of the workflow submission experience, and restores the ability to invite non-registered users via the Share panel. There are also additional bug fixes.

Workflow Submission Progress Overhaul

The workflow submission progress tracking system has been rebuilt from the ground up. The change provides a cleaner, real-time view of submission progress — including per-activity state, configurable display names, and accurate percentage tracking across all steps. Activities can now be configured with human-readable progress messages (for example, "Sending proposal to suppliers") that display during submission. Default messages are provided for common activity types including email dispatch and work creation. This change also introduces a new endpoint for retrieving submission progress history from the audit log. (145)

Guest User Invitations Restored in Share Panel

The Share Task panel has been updated to allow non-registered users to be invited to work items. Previously, the invite button was only activated when a registered user's address was entered and matched. This restores the original behaviour where an email address for a user not yet registered in the EOP could be entered directly to trigger an invitation. (235)

🐞 Bug Fixes

Grouped row navigation fixed in Reporting Dashboard

When using the Reporting Dashboard with row grouping enabled, clicking a grouped row navigated to an incorrect URL containing the literal string @row.id rather than the actual work item identifier. Clicking grouped rows now navigates to the correct work item. (330)
