Product Updates - 2nd June 2025 (v3.51)

This update brings smarter navigation, cleaner tables, and a more consistent experience across the platform.

Side Peek is now available for Assets and People, table totals are accurate no matter what’s on screen, and a host of bug fixes make working across views, workflows, and permissions smoother than ever.

🆕 New Features

Side peek panel: Now platform-wide

You can now view Assets and People in the Side peek panel, just like Work items. This platform-wide update brings a consistent and seamless experience wherever you interact with different entity types, from dashboards to performance views to the Home page.

No more jarring context switches to full-screen views: clicking on an Asset or Person now opens a tidy panel on the side, keeping your place in context. You can view details, make edits, and navigate linked entities directly within the side peek, whether you're in a table, kanban board, or pinned item view.

Admins can even set default views per Asset Type, while users can save their own preferences. (21346)

🪄 Feature Updates

Accurate table totals, no matter how many rows are loaded

You’ll now see accurate totals, sums, averages, and other calculations in your work tables — even when only part of the dataset is loaded on screen. Previously, calculations were done on just the visible rows, which could be misleading. Now, calculations are handled server-side, so they reflect all matching records, including those still loading or filtered out of view. Totals also update automatically when filters change, keeping everything precise and trustworthy. (21346)

🐞 Bug Fixes

Deleted work no longer lingers in your table

Completed work items sometimes stayed visible after deletion, cluttering your view. They now disappear as expected, provided you have the right permissions (workflow or ecosystem owner). (23949)

People panel navigation now loads as expected

Opening a person from the People tab caused the navigation panel to freeze in a loading state. The navigation panel now displays correctly, just like it does when viewing work items or assets, giving you a consistent experience when managing people in your ecosystem. (24002)

Edit icon no longer shows where editing isn’t supported

An edit icon showed up on assets opened inside work items, even though changes weren’t allowed there. This icon has now been removed to avoid confusion. If you have edit permissions, you can still make changes from the main Assets tab. (24221)

Editable panels now work properly in Asset tables

We’ve fixed a bug where some fields in tables on Asset pages couldn’t be edited, even though they worked fine on Work pages. This happened when the fields were added inside expandable row panels. Now, if the field is editable on a Work item, it’s also editable on an Asset. (24570)

Kanban only reacts when it should

Kanban boards were reacting to changes from unrelated workflows, causing unnecessary background activity and slowing things down for some users. slowdowns. They now only update when relevant changes occur. (24724)

Permissions icon removed from incorrect view

Previously, users could see a Permissions icon when previewing an asset from a work item, but trying to use it would result in an error. To avoid confusion, we’ve removed the permissions button from this view.

To manage asset permissions or edit details, simply open the asset directly from the Assets tab. This change also brings consistency across all side peek and preview panels for Assets and People. (24731)

Smoother flow building with End button fix

We fixed a bug that caused workflows to break when users added an End button using the no-code builder. You can now safely add End buttons to tasks without disrupting your workflow. (24748)

Deleted work no longer appears in the Record Book

We’ve fixed an issue where deleted work items still showed up in an asset’s Record Book. Now, when a work item is deleted, it will no longer appear in the list of related items. (24766)

Fixed: Remove action sets without errors

We’ve fixed an issue that was preventing users from deleting action sets in the Advanced Editor. You can now add and remove action sets as expected. (24794)

Related work items now open as expected from full-screen Asset views

Previously, when viewing an asset in full-screen mode, clicking on a related work item in the Record Book updated the URL but failed to open the side panel. This has been resolved, related work items now open correctly in the side peek panel whether you’re viewing the asset in full-screen or side peek mode. (24886)

Invite users from side peek without errors

We have resolved a bug where inviting users from the side peek panel triggered an error. You can now successfully invite users when viewing an asset from the side peek panel. (24962)

Workflow and Asset ownership restored

We’ve fixed a bug that stopped users from showing up as owners after being given workflow or asset type access. Owners will appear correctly once added, and permissions will work as expected. (24986)

Fixed: Setting “ByEventName” no longer breaks Workflows

In Advanced Editor, setting the destinationType property to ‘ByEventName’ was throwing an error and subsequently affecting the whole Workflow. (24718)

Configured date field now consistently populates to today

A customer Workflow had a date field that was configured to automatically populate today’s date into the field when new work was started. This did not always trigger successfully. (24916)

Side peek “open in new tab” button now functions correctly

When switching between items in the side peek panel, the “Open in New Tab” button sometimes opened the previously viewed item. The actively viewed item will now always be shown. (24928)
