Leadership – At rise-x.io Leadership is not a title, nor a reward. Leadership is about serving the interests of others. Leadership is an expectation we have of our people and we expect our people to serve the greater good, and in doing so, to be role models for those that look up to them and for those who come after them.
Stewardship – We charge our people to build a lasting legacy. Whether we are developing people, building better organisations, better industries or even a better world our intention is simple. Leave it better off than when you found it.
Fairness – Make judgements free from discrimination. At rise-x.io fairness guides the judgements we make, the things we do and the way in which we interact with our people and our partners. We believe that fair is fun, and that everyone has the right to be treated fairly and with respect. We do not tolerate anything or anyone who undermines that basic right.
Trust – At rise-x.io trust is given and not earned. We give our trust to our people and our partners and we expect the same in return. We can do great things when we work together towards a common cause. We believe relationships based on trust are worth investing in, and we have no tolerance for individuals who break our trust.
Courage - Courage, like a muscle, grows with exercise. Leaders must have the courage to take risks on behalf of others. This takes courage. Leaders should encourage people in the most literal sense (i.e. fill them with courage) by providing support and creating a culture and an environment that give people the confidence (or the courage) to take risks.

Do Good – At rise-x.io we believe that being good to the world is good business. It follows the logic that if there is no planet, then all business is pointless. Good capitalist intent should be rewarded if it is closely aligned to good social intent. We do not pursue profit for the sake of profit. Rather, profits are what allow us to continue to do what we do and focus on exponential solutions to exponential problems.
Be Curious – We encourage our people, and our partners to be curious, to be led by the strong desire to know or to learn something. To this end we encourage our people and our partners to experiment and, in doing so, not to be discouraged by the risk of failure but to embrace it as a pathway to knowing and learning.
Think Exponentially – We encourage our people to spend time on the world’s biggest problems. There is always room for incremental improvement but too much of the worlds talent is focused on incremental challenges. At rise-x.io we want to focus on big problems and use emerging technology to re-imagine industries and business models to allow us to deliver on our mission of doing more with less to increase the carrying capacity of the planet.
Focus on the Essential – Almost everything is noise. There are more opportunities and activities in the world than we have the time and resources to invest in. Many of these opportunities may be good, and even very good, however it is most likely that most are trivial and only a few are vital. We Challenge ourselves and our partners to focus only on the essential opportunities that enable you to deliver exponential impact.
Play – Play fosters creativity. It frees the imagination, and imagination is the source of every form of human achievement!
